01 · Why it matters
Choosing Between a Custom Web App and a CMS
Not every project needs custom code, and not every project fits a template. The right choice depends on what the site has to do, how fast it needs to launch and who will maintain it.
For business logic, user accounts, dashboards and integrations, I build custom web applications in Laravel. For content sites and online stores that need to launch quickly, Shopify, WordPress or Wix can be the faster, cheaper route.
Either way, the result is responsive, fast-loading and structured so your team can update it without calling a developer for every change. If an existing site is slow, see Performance Tuning.

05 · Process
How a Web Project Runs
Four phases, with working pages in your hands early and often.
- 01Discovery
I learn what the site needs to do, who uses it and what content or data it holds, then recommend custom or CMS.
- 02Design & Structure
Page structure, data model and integrations are planned before building starts.
- 03Iterative Build
You review working pages every 1–2 weeks instead of waiting for a single reveal.
- 04Launch & Handover
Deployment, training and documentation so your team can manage the site.
2 to 5 weeks depending on scope and data migration needs
