The organization needed a single HRM and payroll portal where employees check in transparently, leave flows through approval chains, payroll rules run automatically, and HR leadership gets visual analytics — not another generic HR SaaS with per-seat fees and rigid policy limits.

Solution Overview

I engineered a Laravel-based HRM & Payroll Portal covering attendance tracking, leave management, payroll calculation, payslip generation, and HR reporting. The system gives employees a self-service view, managers an approval layer, and HR admins full control over policies, cycles, and exports.

Every monthly payroll run aggregates attendance logs, approved leave, bonuses, and tax rules into final figures — with secure PDF payslips employees download directly from the portal.

My Role

I owned backend architecture, payroll calculation logic, attendance rules, approval workflows, and the analytics layer on this HRM build. My priority was accuracy and reliability — payroll mistakes are not acceptable in production, so critical paths were tested and documented before handover.
